Valentine's Protein Lollies

Ingredients (makes four lollies)

1 cup almond flour (90g)

1/3 cup Chopped roasted hazelnuts (40g)

1 scoop unflavoured or vanilla whey protein

1 tbsp almond nut butter (15g)

90% dark chocolate (25g)

4 lollipop sticks

Optional: 1 tsp freeze-dried strawberries or berries.

1) Combine the flour, most of the chopped hazelnuts, and the protein in a mixing bowl. Add five spoons of water and mix well with your hands.

2) Continue to bind the content for 10 mins squeezing the mixture until the oils release from the almond flour. Do not be tempted to add too much water as this ruin the texture.

3) Once the mixture is malleable make 4 heart shapes using your hand, pressing firmly so it does not crumble.

4) Separately, melt the chocolate. You can do this by placing it in a small bowl over a larger bowl containing boiling water. Allow the chocolate to melt slowly.

5) Insert the lollypop sticks into the tail of each heart and decorate with melted chocolate, the rest of the chopped hazelnuts, and freeze-dried strawberries/berries.

6) Transfer to the fridge for at least 30mins before eating your heart out!
