Valentine's Protein Lollies

Rich in vitamin E, riboflavin and manganese, these treats are deceptively healthy. High in protein and polyunsaturated fat, these lollies make for an excellent post-workout recovery snack.

Serves 4



90 g Almond flour

40 g Roasted hazelnuts, chopped

1 scoop Vanilla protein powder

1 tbsp Almond butter

25 g Dark chocolate (90% cocoa)

4 Lollipop sticks



1. Combine the flour, most of the chopped hazelnuts, and the protein in a mixing bowl. Add five spoons of water and mix well with your hands.

2. Continue to bind the contents for 10 mins, squeezing the mixture until the oils release from the almond flour. Do not be tempted to add too much water, as this will ruin the texture.

3. Once the mixture is malleable make 4 heart shapes using your hand, pressing firmly so it does not crumble.

4. Separately, melt the chocolate. You can do this by placing it in a small bowl over a larger bowl containing boiling water. Allow the chocolate to melt slowly.

5. Insert the lollipop sticks into the tail of each heart and decorate with melted chocolate and the rest of the chopped hazelnuts.

6. Transfer to the fridge for at least 30 mins before eating your heart out!
