Tahini and Chocolate Nutty Energy Bars

These bars are easy to make, high in mono (MUFA) and polyunsaturated fats (PUFA) and are a great energy boost during the day. Loaded with nuts and tahini, they will keep you feeling full, while helping you control your blood pressure and supply your bones and muscles with various minerals, including calcium. Keep your sugar cravings under control with this healthier snack option.
Serves 12
10 tbsp Tahini
10 tbsp Honey
100 g (3.5 oz) 70% cacao chocolate
20 g (0.75 oz) Walnuts
20 g (0.75 oz) Hazelnuts
20 g (0.75 oz) Pecans
20 g (30.75 oz) Almonds
100 g (3.5 oz) Oats
40 g (1.5 oz) Dried cranberries
0.5 tbsp Sesame seeds
5 g Pumpkin seeds
5 g Sunflower seeds
5 g Chia seeds
1. Heat the honey in the microwave for 20 seconds.
2. Combine the tahini and honey together in a large bowl. Be careful not to make the mixture too thick by over mixing.
3. Melt the chocolate and then add to the tahini-honey mixture.
4. Add the oats, mixed nuts, seeds and cranberries, mixing well.
5. Spread the mixture over the lined baking tray and sprinkle some more granola over the top.
6. Refrigerate for 3-4 hours, until firm. Cut into servings and enjoy!
