Beetroot and Sausage Salad BlackFriday DNA Analysis

Ingredients (serves 2)

Dressing

4 tbsp soy sauce (60ml)

1 tbsp rice vinegar (15ml)

2 tbsp sesame seed oil (30ml)

1 tsp garlic granules or minced fresh garlic (5g)

1 tsp black pepper (5g)

Salad

5 cups mixed lettuce leaves (180g)

1/3 cup feta cheese, crumbled or diced (35g)

3 cups raw beetroot (450g)

1 sausage (100g)

Method

1. To make the dressing simply mix together all the ingredients listed under ‘dressing.’ Set aside for at least 10 minutes to allow flavors to blend.

 

2. Using a spiralizer or a grater, create your beetroot “noodles”.

3. Cook the sausage according to packet instructions and cut into 1 cm (1/2”) slices.

4. Mix the lettuce with the beetroot noodles and crumbled Feta cheese. Add the warm sausage and drizzle with the dressing.

5. Serve whilst the sausage is still warm!
